What is Unicode cursive text?
The cursive text this generator produces is not an installed font or an image: it is made of characters from the Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, originally designed for scientific notation, that mimic calligraphic handwriting. Because every letter is a real character, you can copy and paste cursive text into any app that accepts text, and it will look the same on every device.
That is the key difference from italics in a word processor: in Word you apply formatting on top of normal letters and it disappears when you paste elsewhere; here the shape is baked into the character itself, so it survives Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or a game chat.
One honest caveat: the Unicode script block only covers the 26 letters of the basic Latin alphabet. Accented vowels and รฑ have no cursive version, so the generator keeps them unchanged โ the text stays perfectly readable.

Where does cursive text work?
Unicode cursive works in the vast majority of apps and social networks, with a few caveats worth knowing:

Unicode cursive vs WhatsApp italics
WhatsApp has its own native italics: wrap your text in underscores (_like this_) and the app renders it slanted. That is the best option inside WhatsApp, since it keeps accented letters intact and screen readers handle it normally.
